I remember the first time I came to Oyotunji African Village. It was 1970 and I was a little girl from New York.  I remember thinking "this is Africa". It has remained that for me to this day.  It requires you be authentic in your African soul.  It's a bridge home.

This is the 2008 Festival Schedule. In the case of in climate weather, festival dates will be postponed until the following weekend.  All admissions include guided tour.

Oct 3-5 Grand series of elaborate processions; Banquets in honor of the birthday of the KING.

Oct 25-26 Autumnal celebration, venerating the fierce Royal Deity of Death, Storms, and the River Niger

Oct 31st Parade of ghosts and solemn candlelight ceremony for the unknown dead of the African Race.
